New Findings

With the new year fast approaching I have found some new apps that I can't wait to use and earn money and products just by logging in my gym time!!
First one is gym-pact, you get paid for going to the gym, BUT if you don't go you PAY!  What a great way to stay motivated with your gym goals.  They don't yet have the app for droid users but expected to have one in January 2013, so I am excited to get this.
Second one is earndit.com, sync up with foursquare and everytime you check in you get points!!!  Points to redeem at places like BodyRock which I cannot wait for, as well as tons of other products.
I have already signed up for earndit, and received 15 points just for heading to the gym for cardio!!

Holidays are OVER

Yes this is a time for celebration for me.  Today I will be cleaning out the fridge and dumping all of the bad food in the house.  Then it will be food prep time.  Looking forward to starting off 2013 with a bang, hell I have to, April 13th will be right around the corner and this girl wants to do a show.

Throwback Thursday

First NPC show!

Work in progress...I want to become a better me

Daily Motivation

Tea, Tea and More Tea

So I have totally found my new obsession......TEA!!!  I drink lots and lots of water everyday, about 1 gallon, which can get pretty boring.  My friend bought me a dream tea set from Teavana this Christmas it came with German rock sugar (ahmazing) and 6 different tea blends.  My only problem was that I had no way of brewing it as it is loose leaf.  Yesterday we went to the mall and Teavana was having a super sale 75% off of tea.  For those who have been there, tea can be pricey, I scored a 6oz tin full of green tea for $6.00.  WINNING :)

Looking forward to a great 2013!!!

Fruit Salsa

So with last night being Christmas, I had to provide food for our gift exchange gathering.  I am trying to stay on the right path of making good food choices.  I decided of a fruit salsa and cinnamon sugar chips.
The salsa was super simple to make
1 pack of strawberries
3 Macintosh apples
pack of blueberries
pack of raspberries
I diced everything up and added a tsp of strawberries preserves...
Mix and chill.

For the cinnamon sugar chips
take flour tortilla, spray with butter Pam, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar and bake at 425 for 5 minutes.

PERFECT!!!

Love love love Flex til You're Famous....Favorite by far but they sell out sooo quickly...I have to be on alert when they drop their new inventory.

Who is helping me?

Some may be curious as too who I am working with, well besides the support from my husband, I am also receiving my meals (yummy) and workout plans by Stevee Hight.

Not only is she a personal trainer she is also a NPC National Bikini Competitor.  She is providing me with online training and support.  In the last 2 weeks I have lost almost 3 inches from my waistline and 1.5 inches around the chest.  So grateful to be working with Stevee.

Great Interview with Ingrid Romero

Ingrid Romero

I truly look up to Ingrid Romero!  Not only is she Team Edge coach but also a mommy to twins.  Just because our bodies change during pregnancy doesn't mean we cannot get back to being in shape and achieving our goals.

Check Out the Interview at Simply Shredded...

Weigh In with Coach

Did my measurements today and the weight is still the same at 145lbs but the waist is down another inch!!!  Measuring in at 29.5 inches!!

Tonight after work Tim and I will be heading to the gym for a great Christmas morning workout.  Just because it is the holidays isn't an excuse to give up on the goals.  I will be taking it easy Christmas night and relaxing with family and friends.  Who knows, I may even enjoy a glass of wine!!  Yup, I am a rebel like that.

Eat Clean and Train Hard!!!

Merry Christmas!!

My Single Step

Decided to make my first post tonight.

Tonight I will be taking my before pictures for the bodybuilding.com 100K transformation contest.  Before pictures can really get you motivated.  As much as I hate to take them, they do hold you accountable.  So this will be my start for a successful and healthy 2013.

This year has been very challenging for me.  I started off with a bang and then at the end of February I lost my grandmother.  I have never ever lost someone close to me and really did not know how I would react.  Well....I thought I was fine and then I found myself very depressed and anxious.  I knew what I wanted in my fitness goals but never felt the need to actually move forward.  I went to a doctor who put me on meds for depression and anxiety.  After about 3 months of taking them, I really didn't feel different.  After a conversation with my husband and stepmother regarding meds and depression I decided to take another route, why not retrain my way of thinking and feeling, right?  If something makes me sad, stop doing that, take another approach.  Quitting the meds wasn't hard EXCEPT I managed to add on an extra 30lbs.  I found myself moping around unhappy with the weight gain but not doing anything about it.  Now I have decided to make some goals for 2013 and truly stick to them.  Hopefully with the encouragement and support from friends and family I will stay on track.

Some goals I have place for myself are
1.  Complete the 2013 Bodybuilding.com transformation contest
2.  Successfully prep for a few NPC bikini competitions in April
3.  Learn to make eating healthy not a diet but a way of life.
4.  Stick to my workouts NO EXCUSES
5.  BLOG

This blog is in hopes to help me stay on track as well as motivate others in their journey, whatever it may be.
I am going to share recipes as well as motivational quotes and whatever else may come to mind that day.
